About eBenTa

eBenTa, is a social news and video site developed for pinoys and pinays anywhere. It's designed to allow YOU to share and discover news stories and videos, read and take part in discussions, discover an events of interest and build a network with friends. You submit a content (article, video, news, story, editorial, ad, etc.) that will be reviewed by ALL and will be promoted, based on popularity, to the main page. When a registered user submits new content it will be placed in the "Upcoming" area until it gains sufficient votes (buzz votes) to be promoted to the main page.

Read News and Discussions:

The "Published" area of eBenTa is what you will see by default when you visit the site. This area shows you contents (news, media, etc.) submitted to eBenTa and discussions within the site that have been voted the most active recently by the community. If you want to know what is hot, "Published" area delivers this to you at a glance. You can even get information sent to you via email by subscribing to rss feed.

Share Contents:

Read a news story or watch video you want to share with the community? Use "(+) Add Content" found on the upper right corner of the site to enter the story's or video's URL (link), and then your submission will appear within the "Upcoming" area of eBenTa. If enough "liked" it, the story or video might move to the "Published" area. Submit new content that got "hot or popular" on a regular basis, and you could appear as one of the "Top 10 Contributors". To submit, you need to be a registered member. It's free! and easy - takes only few seconds.

Start Discussions:

Want to talk about the hot topics that are related to the site or an event that took place or an ad that you want to share or a video you taken recently? You can also use the "(+) Add Content", just click "Continue" on the first step, give your topic a title, a tag, a short blurb and start the discussion off your post right away - it is called editorial. Like news stories or videos, an editorial also shows up in the "Upcoming" area and move to the "Published" area if enough member's liked them.

Network:

Looking to meet friends online? eBenTa makes it easy. Submit interesting stories, videos, editorial or make important points in discussions, and others might decide to add you as their friend. Being friendly is a good thing at eBenTa! It means someone's interested in following what you are doing here. You can view all your friends at anytime. Find someone and start your network of friends.

Find An Events:

Made some friends online that you'd like to meet in person? There's plenty of in-person events going on related to social networking site. This area still in progress and we are currently working on it right now. This is called "Events Calendar" where you can see what is coming up. You can also associate yourself with an event, so that others know you'll be going. Or check out those already saying they'll be there!

You understand and agree that the Service is provided on an AS IS and AS AVAILABLE basis. eBenTa disclaims all responsibility and liability for the availability, timeliness, security or reliability of the Service. eBenTa also reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue the Service with or without notice at any time and without any liability to you.
  
  
• Personal Use. The Service is made available to you for your personal use only. Due to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (which is available at http://www.ftc.gov/ogc/coppa1.htm), you must be at least thirteen (13) years of age to use this Service. You must provide current, accurate identification, contact, and other information that may be required as part of the registration process and/or continued use of the Service. Violation of any of the foregoing may result in immediate termination of this Agreement, and may subject you to state and federal penalties and other legal consequences. eBenTa reserves the right, but shall have no obligation, to investigate your use of the Service in order to determine whether a violation of the Agreement has occurred or to comply with any applicable law, regulation, legal process or governmental request.
  
  
• Your Intellectual Property Rights eBenTa does not claim any ownership in any of the content, including any text, data, information, images, photographs, music, sound, video, or other material, that you upload, transmit or store in your eBenTa account. We will not use any of your content for any purpose except to provide you with the Service.
  
  
• Representations and Warranties. You represent and warrant that (a) all of the information provided by you to eBenTa to participate in the Services is correct and current; and (b) you have all necessary right, power and authority to enter into this Agreement and to perform the acts required of you hereunder.
  
  
• Privacy. As a condition to using the Service, you agree to the terms of the eBenTa Privacy Policy as it may be updated from time to time. eBenTa understands that privacy is important to you. You do, however, agree that eBenTa may monitor, edit or disclose your personal information, including the content of your emails, if required to do so in order to comply with any valid legal process or governmental request (such as a search warrant, subpoena, statute, or court order), or as otherwise provided in these Terms of Use and the eBenTa Privacy Policy. Personal information collected by eBenTa may be stored and processed in the United States or any other country in which parent company eBenTa or its agents maintain facilities. By using eBenTa, you consent to any such transfer of information outside of your country.
  
  
• Indemnification. You agree to hold harmless and indemnify eBenTa, and its subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, agents, and employees from and against any third party claim arising from or in any way related to your use of the Service, including any liability or expense arising from all claims, losses, damages (actual and consequential), suits, judgments, litigation costs and attorneys' fees, of every kind and nature. In such a case, eBenTa will provide you with written notice of such claim, suit or action.
  
  
• Ownership. eBenta does not own any videos, stories, editorial posted on the website. If you have any concerns on all contents posted, contact each users. Any concerns on videos, please contact video providers like Youtube, Veoh, Metacafe, Revver, Google, etc. If you want any video to be removed on the site, contact each provider. We didn't own any of the video. Contact us if you have any other questions or concerns.
